The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is launching a new Parent Portal, just in time for Summer! The first phase of the portal will allow parents to request summer training opportunities for their child or children enrolled in the Sea Cadet Corps.
We are looking forward to a robust summer training season. To make the sign-up process as easy as possible for adult volunteers and parents, we will offer training this month on how to use the Parent Portal (see dates below). This online tool allows parents to request a training for their child or children and gives Commanding Officers and Commanding Officers of Training Contingents the ability to review and approve or decline the request online. We are thrilled about this -- we hope you will be too! Here is the timing of the roll-out. Here are some key dates to remember:

If you are getting excited to hear from Astronaut Kayla Barron's interview tomorrow there is a video on NASA's Facebook page this. NASA astronauts Kayla Barron and Raja Chari conducted a spacewalk at the International Space Station (ISS) to assemble and install brackets and struts kits for upcoming solar array upgrades. The new ISS Roll Out Solar Arrays, or iROSAs, will increase the space station's total available power. So far, two of six iROSAs have
been deployed on the station with four additional arrays to be delivered.
