Plan of the Day 21 March 2022

Drill: Monday, 21 March 2022.
Time: 1900. Muster 1830 at the Stamford Yacht Club for our Annual Inspection.
Uniform: Dress Blue Uniform.

1. We will drill at the Stamford Yacht Club (97 Ocean Dr W, Stamford CT 06902) for our Annual inspection. Muster time is 1830 to prepare. Uniform Dress Blue and Winter Dress. If you are not fully vaccinated, you are required to wear a mask. Double check that you have all your uniform components from top down. Make sure you are compliant with grooming standards.
2. Parents you are cordially invited to stay for the inspection and Q&A session to follow.
3. Once the inspection is over, we will have a Q&A for parents in preparation for Summer Training which is right around the corner.

6. 2022 NSCC Scholarship Program. Online applications for the Naval Sea Cadet Corps 2022 Scholarship Program are being accepted from 18 February – 03 April 2022. The CAPT Henry J. Nyland, USN (ret.) Career and Technical Education Scholarship applications will open in early April. Apply here.

• 23 March 1965 - Navy Lt. Cmdr. John W. Young is a pilot on Gemini III, the first 2-manned spacecraft, that completes three orbits in four hours, 53 minutes at an altitude of 224 km. He is joined by Air Force Lt. Col. Virgil Grissom, command pilot.
• 25 March 2007 - Congress designates March 25 each year as National Medal of Honor Day. The day is significant as it is the day the first Medal of Honor was presented in 1863.
