U.S. Coast Guard Webinar with Helicopter Interdiction Squadron Unit, Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. EST

11/27/2021

NHQ has scheduled another U.S. Coast Guard webinar to learn firsthand what it is like to be assigned to the Helicopter Interdiction Squadron Unit (HITRON) for Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. EST. What is HITRON? Their mission is to stop narcotics on the Caribbean and Pacific Ocean by locating Go-Fast vessels on the high seas. Unlike most of the Coast Guard's helos that are designed for search and rescue (SAR), these aircraft are reconfigured to be use of force vessels that engage in dynamic aerobatic evolutions, bringing them very low to the water and close to the action! Don't miss this unique opportunity!

Join LT Laura Garofalo, Sea Cadet Liaison, USCG Recruiting Command, and HITRON assigned personnel to learn more about this unique Airborne Use of Force (AUF) unit.

If you would like to learn more, please click on the link and register.
