Graduation Checklist (see below for detailed instructions)
  1. Return Uniforms 
  2. Complete Correspondence course
  3. Submit Testimonial
  4. Submit Senior Survey to NHQ
  5. Complete Senior interview with Navy League scholarship board.
  6. Submit information for scholarship processing
Uniform Return
  • Return all issued uniforms
    • Pea coat, NWU parka, parka liner, Dress Uniforms, NWUs, covers, belts, sea bag
    • If issued, return garment bags, shoes and boots.
    • Remove all sewed on name tags, which you may keep
    • Please launder all NWUs prior to handing in
    • Clean Dress Uniforms are appreciated.
  • You may keep your ribbon rack and plastic name tag
  • You may keep one rank insignia from your dress uniform and your NWU. 
  • You may donate your NWU t-shirts, PT gear and other accessories collected (such as canteens, web belts, etc.)  if you wish but not a requirement.
  • ​Scholarship awards will not be processed without satisfactory return of uniforms.
Polaris Course
  • Please complete a correspondence course if you have not done so in this calendar year
  • This will give us points for the next annual inspection.
  • The sound powered phone course should only take you a few hours to complete.
Testimonial
  • Please write a 1-2 sentence testimonial of our program that will help with recruiting
  • It can be retelling a specific experience such as in training, ceremony, etc. or what the program has allowed you to achieve. 
  • This will be placed on our testimonial webpage.
Senior Survey
  • You should have received an email from NHQ requesting you to submit a survey
  • This is very important so we may improve the program
  • Good feedback is essential whether it's positive or not
  • We are able to track whether or not you have completed the survey in Magellan
  • Alert the staff if you have not received the senior survey email.
Senior interview
  • We will still conduct senior interviews and the processing of the award will be contingent on completion of the interview
  • Be flexible in the upcoming weeks to complete in person or virtually
  • As you are turning in uniforms, wear appropriate civilian attire.
Scholarships
  • Go to our Scholarships webpage for opportunities. 
  • In order to receive you scholarship award funds all the previous checklist items must be completed.
  • Confirm a preferred email address and your mobile number to facilitate communications.
  • Additionally the following certifying information needs to be submitted
    • Proof of attendance at a college or university. Typically a confirmation of class registration is enough. An acceptance letter is not acceptable is it does not show your intention to attend or register.
    • Student ID number. Take a picture of your student ID or letter/email assigning you a college ID.
    • Address of the bursar's officer to mail the award.
