Memorial Day Events

Since the inaugural Decoration Day in 1866 honoring those who died fighting in our nation's Civil War, Americans have paused in late May to remember U.S. military personnel who gave their lives defending our nation. Decoration Day became Memorial Day in 1882, and the national holiday honors those who have fallen in American wars. Today, across our nation, Americans will pause to spend time with their families, enjoy picnics, take in a ballgame or just enjoy a relaxing day that marks the unofficial start of summer. Please take a moment this Memorial Day to honor our fallen. We are forever grateful for their sacrifice.

This page will host the many events in May around Memorial Day commemorations. They are posted in chronological order and will be adjusted as to put completed events at the bottom. Check back often for as they will be updated frequently.
