Plan of the Month

The Plan of the Month is an official document of Dealey Division. Its contents reflect current orders of the Commanding Officer and official unit announcements. All division personnel are responsible for reading and understanding the information contained herein. Parents and guardians of cadets are encouraged to read the Plan of the Month and to make note of meeting days and special announcements that may affect personal schedules. Check the Plan of the Day for weekly drill schedule.

December 2025
  1. Drill: We will drill 1, 8, 15 (Make-up) December. Option Drill on 22 December depending as status recruits readiness for Recruit Training.
  2. December events include the Wreaths Across America and Marksmanship Training. 
  3. Uniform of the Day: Dress Blue for Sea Cadets and Summer Dress for League Cadets (now the only uniform). Service Khaki (Officers and Chiefs) authorized as alternate uniform. Wearing of Navy Working Uniform (NWU) Type III as authorized by the Plan of the Day. See Uniform webpage for more.

Standing Notes
  1. ​​Helpful files for Cadet and Families: Navy General Orders of a Sentry, Core Values, Code of Conduct and Family Handbook.
  2. Quarterdeck: Quarterdeck is the only way to see all relevant sea cadet websites (except seacadets.org) for cadets, parents and adult volunteers. Registration is required for all new cadets and families. Instructions are in the Quarterdeck User Guide
  3. Training: Parents must have a Quarterdeck account to see available training and sign up their cadet.
  4. Advancement: Regulations state that cadets should advance one rank every year. Check Quarterdeck for remaining requirements needed for advancement.
  5. Physical Fitness: Visit our PRT webpage for all the info.
  6. Awards: If you qualify for any sea cadet award, please submit a request via your chain of command. Provide proper documentation showing you meet the requirements in the awards manual.
  7. Attendance: Regulations require cadets should attend 75% of all scheduled drills. If you cannot attend, you shall notify your chain of command. Failure to attend could result in the discharge from the program. 
  8. Enrollment Fees: The current cost of (re)enrollment for 2025 has increased to $125.00 for cadets. Payment is due to receive your new ID card. Early enrollment is sometimes required to attend training. Make checks out to DEALEY DIVISION USNSCC. We now take electronic payment via Venmo.
  9. Training Fees: Current fees for training are: 1 Day - $30, 2 Days - $60, 3-4 Days - $100, 5-7 Days - $250, 8-9 Days - $300, 10+ Plus Days - $350. Some specialty or local training may cost more.

Events a team building event at the Adventure Park with zip lining and ropes course on Sunday 26 October as we celebrate the Great Pumpkin. Always reference the POD​ for weekly drilling information.

May 2025
  1. Drill: We will drill 5, 12, 17 (flags), 18 (parade and commissioning) and 26 (parade) May 2025. Always reference the POD​ for weekly drilling information.

  3. PRT: All cadets must complete and pas the PRT. Makeup tests will be held all month time permitting.
  4. All cadets should be finalizing plans for summer training. Check Quarterdeck for the latest offerings. All training must be requested through the parent portal on Quarterdeck. Information can be found in the Summer Training Guidance 2025 for Families manual.
  5. Scholarships: There are Scholarships available from various organizations for graduating Sea Cadets. See the Scholarships webpage for application information.
