USNSCC New Parent Portal - Mark Your Calendars for Training Opportunities

The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is launching a new Parent Portal, just in time for Summer!  The first phase of the portal will allow parents to request summer training opportunities for their child or children enrolled in the Sea Cadet Corps.      
We are looking forward to a robust summer training season. To make the sign-up process as easy as possible for adult volunteers and parents, we will offer training this month on how to use the Parent Portal (see dates below).     
This online tool allows parents to request a training for their child or children and gives Commanding Officers and Commanding Officers of Training Contingents the ability to review and approve or decline the request online. We are thrilled about this -- we hope you will be too! Here is the timing of the roll-out.    
Here are some key dates to remember:    

• During the Week of March 21, we will release a training video for adult volunteers and parents.
• On March 26, we will offer live training for COTCs during COTC Conference in St. Louis, MO.
• On March 29, the Parent Portal goes live at 9 a.m. Parents will have the ability to request summer training for their child via this online tool. 
• On March 29, we will offer a New Parent Portal Training opportunity for parents at 7 p.m. EST (Zoom information below)
• On March 30, we will offer a live Q&A webinar for adult volunteers at 7 p.m. EST. (Zoom information below)
